Re: Waterville Cutlery Co.

Hey there, Joe... First time visiting the board since moving to Virginia a couple years back. Glad to see you are still posting cool looking knives. That quill knife certainly complements your Congress Whittler. Would display nicely together. Unfortunately for me, even tho I've been looking... it's ...

The Schrade 3rd Generation ad helps date the notebook as they were introduced in the early 1980's.

Re: Dull vs Sharp

Thank you, Ken. In the thread that I posted on Oct, 3, 17, you will read that the problem I had with the blade was a failure of the blade itself. It was a failure in manufacturing I assume and not something I did to abuse the blade. Are you also surprised that I encouraged you to use your nice old ...

Thanks guys for all your opinions... I thought I would be in the vast minority on this one... I took a picture of my knives that I have in rotation at this time. Now I've been pondering... ::hmm:: do I keep them the way that they are in order to have the blades as clos...

Have noticed some have showing up for auction on eBay lately... makes me wish I had picked a couple of duplicates when I had the chance... It was Richard's conception... but it was Eric's talented work and he continues to produce them now under his own name... Albers Cutlery.
