Re: 119 handle replacement.

Thanks Gunsil, I may have to do that but I'm attached to this knife and can't really see buying another just to let this one sit in a drawer but I do see your logic.

Anybody do fixed blade handle replacement?

Some years ago I purchased a Buck 119 for a pretty good price. The reason being that the PO had evidently damaged the original handle and fashioned a replacement out of body putty! Buck stated that fixed blade knife handles cannot be replaced by them. Does anyone here repair or replace the h...

119 handle replacement.

I sent my 119 in to Buck and requested a handle replacement. I was notified by email that the handles on fixed blade knives are not replaceable. The PO evidently damaged the original handle and used body putty to fashion a new one. I would really like to have the handle replaced, perhaps with a stac...

Re: Buck 119 with black anodized blade?

The 119 fits good in the KA-BAR sheath. With about an inch to spare. The 120 is a perfect fit. The 119 fits perfect in this TripleK sheath. But it’s more expensive. But a very nice sheath. 13B6DD75-BF95-4F31-9F2B-2FD09E4AA42B.jpeg4F1B660B-79EB-4B4E-8BC7-89E32E6A43D4.jpeg1FB6FCAD-819D-4EEA-9D50-A191...

Don’t order one until I can post a picture with a 119 in it. I’ll be home in a hour or so. DD634533-FA1E-413C-87A2-38E02BE1C1AE.jpeg

Re: Buck 119 with black anodized blade?

The flap over sheaths are great if you are used to carrying a 110. It’s the same muscle memory opening the sheath and drawing the knife. But honestly I don’t like any of the factory sheaths. The blades all rattle and the leather is thin. I like sheaths made like KA-BAR sheaths. Stitched all the way...

Re: Buck 119 with black anodized blade?

I like the original flap over and will be getting one for my 119 after Buck gets finished with it. I'd rather have the repair done than replace it with another just to have my original sit in a drawer.

Buck 119 with black anodized blade?

I acquired this 119 several years ago and have not seen another with the anodized blade. The 3 line date code indicstes 72-86 which puts it in the time frame for the Vietnam war. Could this have been an issue or available in the PX? The Buck historian hasn't been much help. Someone replaced the hand...

Re: Buck 180 Crosslock with single tanto blade info needed.

No, this is not a re-profile fron a broken tip. I've received a reply from the Buck historian and this particular Crosslock was only produced in 1999 and 2000 with less than 3000 produced. It is a Crosslock 180S Solitaire Tanto. The historian stated that the factory used older liners in newer models...

Buck 180 Crosslock with single tanto blade info needed.

I acquired this Buck on eBay several years ago for my EDC and have tried finding info on this particular knife. I haven't seen one again on any sellers sites and nothing from Buck discontinued knives. The date code indicates that it was manufactured in 1994 but that's all the information that I have...

Any members around the KC metro area?

I've been selling off my collection and still have @ 80-100 knives left. I haven't been authorized for a seller account yet but would like to know if there any members around the greater Kansas City area that would be interested in viewing what I have left and making a reasonable offer for the lot a...

Equal End Jack. Ulster Knife Co. became Ulster Knife or Ulster USA (both) in 1941 when Dwight Devine sold Ulster to , who else ?, Albert Baer who was on his way to owning Ulster, Kingston, Schrade, Camillus & Imperial knife companies. The Ulster Knife Co knives are the best of the Ulster brande...

Like the caption asks, does anyone collect Ulster or Utica brand knives? I'm watching some nice old knives as reasonable prices but wonder where to go to get info on them. There is very little on tang stamps or
general info.
