Re: STOLEN KNIFE ALERT
The show was at Market Hall in Dallas. I don't know about cameras but there were Dallas cops walking around everywhere. These thieves are good. Bob said several people would gather at the table and pick up and look at knives, asking a lot of questions. They basically do a little "3 card Monte&q...

Re: George Woodhead - Bowies and Pocket Knives
Geo. Woodhead always made a distinct Bowie knife. Yours is a classic 1850's design. Very nice! I'm not well versed on his folding knives but the Bowies are very desirable. Good find!

STOLEN KNIFE ALERT
Hey fellows, this last weekend (3/23/18) at the Lone Star Knife Expo in Dallas, Tx., Custom Knifemaker Bob Merz had a knife stolen off his table. It is a Damascus Auto with Mastadon handles and heavy engraving and marked MERZ. Should anyone spot this knife, please contact Bob at bobmerz43@gmail.com.

Re: Patina on my Gerber
Leather contains Tannic acid which when contacted to brass will produce the green patina. I would recommend long term storage for knives in a padded zipper case. Even with that, brass will need to be periodically polished. I use Semichrome or Flitz polish.

That's the knife! Thanks! Those are great little knives, well made. Mine is the "Smoked Acrylic" which is a translucent ruby red with a faint dark swirl. I'd like to find an abalone. Thanks for posting the info!

Re: Schrade SUSA4 Auto in Abalone.
These are made by GEC/Taylor LLC with the Schrade stamp and blade etch. I think they were a limited edition contracted by Sharper Deals.com. Very cool knives.

Re: Schrade SUSA4 Auto in Abalone.
They were made back in 2007-10 as I understand. They are bolster release like the Aerial & Olsen/Jaeger Bros. and made in limited production. They came in about 7 handle materials. Jigged bone, stag, and synthetics. I have one in red smokey acrylic. They look like the same design as the Fire and...

Schrade SUSA4 Auto in Abalone.
I am looking for a Schrade SUSA4 "Fire and Ice" automatic in "Abalone". I might consider a "Gold Sparkle" or othe "flashy" material.

You are correct on the old 110's. I went back and checked mine and it also is still tight. If your new Buck is loose like an old Italian, you may want to inquire about replacing it. Keep us posted on this.

Re: Opinions of the new Buck110 Auto and 110 Auto Elite
The 110 I bought has no play whatsoever but was very "stiff" out of the box. I hade to work it a while before it fired and locked up properly. Is your play "side play"?

Re: Monster Polish Movie Leverlock?
It is very similar to a 1960's OTHELLO gravity knife, synthetic handles with the bail removed (9" OAL").

Another opinion you might try is muskratmanknives@gmail.com. He sells items here at AAPK as Muskratman Knives, does repairs, etc. I have dealt with him before and he is quite knowledgeable. He is a certified factory repairman.

Re: Opinions of the new Buck110 Auto and 110 Auto Elite
I just received my Buck 110 auto. Comparing it side by side to a standard 110, there is virtually no difference in size, shape and heft. The finish is outstanding. The first few firings, the action was a little tight and didn't always lock-up on opening. After a drop of oil and playing with it a bit...

Re: Good everyday switchblade.
Did receive the Buck automatic today. Every bit the quality and heft of the standard 110 hunter. The action was a little stiff right out of the box and didn't open and lock-up every time. After a little oil and playing with it bit, all is good. Sounds like a bear trap going off! I like the torsion s...

Schrade "Fire and Ice" Auto Value?
A while back, Schrade USA made some automatics with a bolster release, much like the Aerial & Olsen design. Does anyone know what these are going for now?
