Re: 2024 POS Exchange
Coley, You stated in your note to me that you included a "paint stick knife", but I didn't put 2 and 2 together. Didn't have a clue one what you meant by that. Now, the 'cute little knife' is even more impressive and will hold a a greater personal and special meaning to me and my wife. ::n...

Re: 2024 POS Exchange
Received C-Wade’s POS package today. I’ll start out by saying; I’m REALLY pleased with the Birdseye Maple Anvil he personally made for me. He took the time to research my posts and observed that I was a Buck knife fan and created the anvil for me. I truly appreciate him taking the time to make this ...

Re: 2024 POS Exchange
Zach, I'm so very happy that you and your young boys enjoyed the mystery box. I can imagine the joy, and the excited "oh, look at that one" pleasure that only a young man can convey. I thoroughly enjoyed putting this box together for you, and the poem and COA added a touch of humor to enha...

Re: What reason for rope blade shape?
ZZ's explanation and narrative is about as professional as you can get. The only type of line he didn't explain about was the "chow line" and how long or short it can be, depending on rank and time of day.

Re: 2024 POS Exchange
Zach,
I hope you both enjoy the contents of the 'box', and hopefully, the both of you get a smile or two out of it. I have always enjoyed the POS game and the camaraderie amongst all the AAPK knifers.

Six Dozen Eggs And Two Quarts Of Honey
It was 1974, San Diego, California, and I had six months remaining on my ‘first’ enlistment in the Navy before getting out. I was young, around 22 years old, and couldn’t wait to get out. I had met a girl when on leave prior to checking in at my last Command of a four year stint. We called each othe...

Lots of wonderful insight, thoughts and different emotions conveyed in this thread. I trust all of it is edifying to whomever reads these posts. On the human level, it can be quite overwhelming to see what is happening in the world today. Dale hit on a lot of it very well. The Middle East is becomin...

Re: Kalinga!!! How old!??
Your Kalinga box and sheath appear to be from the 1971/1972 Classic Badge of Authority set, although the interior knife and sheath holder is different. Your Kalinga is a 401 model with Rosewood a handle. I've never seen a "Classic" interior design like yours, so maybe Buck came out with a ...
