Re: Knife Photography
Good shots geo, and gorgeos bones on both. The cattle knife is sweeeet. ::tu:: ::tu:: Beach walk and some various pics. Where do I begin, Ivoryman? You've caught some fine-looking cutlery out in the open where you could catch the details. I could enjoy filling my pockets with what you've got there....

Thank you Ivoryman & doglegg. I've had the Powder Horn almost five years & it's one of my favorites. I thought the price was high back then.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
This Whittler is a #307, made by Henckels from the 1930s to the 1950s. The Canoe is #1936 & I believe it was the first Canoe offered by Henckels. It was made by Boker on contract for Henckels from 1975 to 1978, once Henckels quit manufacturing their own pocket knives. That's their story as I und...

Thanks, toomany. It's possibly the only knife I have with green bone. At least the box says it's green bone. Otherwise, I wouldn't know.toomanyknives wrote: ↑Sat Mar 02, 2024 10:26 pmThose two are great, Geo! I really like the seahorse!

This 4" Henckels sports some very vice stag covers. P1050193.JPGP1050194.JPGP1050196.JPGP1050195.JPG I reckon that one was made by Boker which certainly is not a problem for me as they are two of my favorites, but I've never seen better-looking stag on either one. You done good, real good, on ...

Not sure if that one is Rogers, Geo. But, it is very nice. Here's a thread with some nice examples of Rogers.. https://www.allaboutpocketknives.com/knife_forum/viewtopic.php?t=4187 Thanks. I appreciate your input. I noticed that many of the comments I’ve read on AAPK include some uncertainty about ...

My opinions based on research ,but open for better scrutiny. The Salisbury Cutlery Handle Factory began in the 1860’s and by the 1920’s was one of the largest employers in Salisbury , CT. Stag and exotic wood knife handles were made for cutlery companies including the Clyde Cutlery Co., the Baldwin...

This one's rather new to me - a Winchester #3907, probably made by Queen for Blue Grass Cutlery. It's one of 966 made in 1991 with peach seed jigged bone. Looks to me like it has Stockman blades but in a Whittler pattern. (I never heard of speying a piece of wood.) Anyway, I'll use that as an excus...
