I think those were made by Camillus. It is a modern knife. I don’t think they are very common.

Re: How can I fix this tang nut on G.C. Co hunting knife? Or, find another?
Pretty easy to reproduce if you have a friend with a lathe. You can make it by hand. Find some solid brass rod of the appropriate diameter, center punch it and drill a hole through the center. Then tap the hole and file the slot on the top. Use a split screwdriver to tighten. Good luck.

You need to get one with shedua wood scales. I think Buck only made those for a year or two. Very attractive wood.

I don’t think it’s a bayonet;I never saw a bayonet that didn’t have a muzzle ring in the crosspiece. Or one with a curved hilt. It’s interesting for sure.

I would like to know how the people that are re-handling these knives are getting the pommel off. I tried to repair one that had severely deteriorated leather. I couldn’t drive the pins out without damaging the aluminum pommel. I know they are managing to do it somehow.

Re: Long shot,112 blade needed
Buck has a “forever warranty”. They charge $10.00 to replace a blade. I have sent several 112s and 110s in for blade replacement and they always replaced the blade regardless of the age of the knife. The blade will be one from recent production and they will not send the old blade back. I remember s...

I am not an expert either, but here are some observations. The butterfly logo looks more distinct and clear on the factory website. Look at the outline of the wing near the ‘E’ in Benchmade. They touch the ‘E’ on your knife; however, they do not touch the ‘E’ on the one on the website.

I have never seen a Cattaraugus 225Q with a fuller that far down on the blade. The fuller is usually closer to the top of the blade. Very unusual.

The difference is the 7593 is carbon steel and the 182 is stainless. Not sure when the change was made. I too have wondered what the hyroglyphs on the bail signify.
