Heads Up For eBay Posting
I just wanted you guys to know that I have put some knives on eBay from my father-in-law's collection: Ethan Allen Miller. There are a couple of very nice 3 blade staghorn folding hunters, Anton Wingen and J A Henckels and three fixed hunters with sheaths. There is a Colt and a Buck and a very inter...

Re: Mystery Knife
Since my father-in-law lived in Milwaukee and Wauwatosa is one of its western suburbs, this could be the maker of our mystery knife!
The knife at the top of the middle panel has some features resembling this knife, but the quality of the picture is pretty poor.

Re: Mystery Knife
Thanks to everybody for helping out with this search!! I just found a brochure in an envelope deep down in one of Dad's boxes. Does anyone recognize this knife maker? There is nothing going for it via google! All I got were knife victims found in Wauwatosa - you'll see why! Even with quotes in the s...

Re: Gerber History
Another question in this line of sportsman & skookum; Some of these have brass liners and some stainless steel. Do collectors have special names to differentiate the two? These are the most "modern" knives in my father-in-laws collection. No plastic, injection molded handles for him! H...

Re: Gerber History
Where do the "skookum" PK-1s and PK-2s fit into this time line? I was very mixed up about this term which came to my attention by an eBay buyer. I thought it referred to the overall look of the knife and called the next one I put eBay a skookum only to find out it was a sportsman. Does sko...

Re: Mystery Knife
I searched out Rod Olson of Canada on Google and got an email. I sent him the pictures and this morning had a reply that it wasn't his knife.
Very nice of him to take the time to respond.

Re: Mystery Knife
I haven't heard of a knife maker by the name of Olson. Do you have any background info on him?
Thanks a heap of responding so soon!

Mystery Knife
I'm hoping that you experienced collectors may have a clue for identifying this beautiful knife. It is among a collection that my father-in-law built over the years. I think he wanted to set up a sales room in the old barn, but cancer caught up with him before he could get it going. He would show me...

Imperial Frontier 4815 U vs 4815 S
I have an Imperial Frontier lock back folding hunter with a number on the tang: 4815 U. I have a box for a Frontier 4815 S. What was this designation for? I can imagine that the S is for stainless steel, but haven't come up with anything for the U. I am thinking of selling the knife - it is part of ...
