Re: Is this knife legit?
Thank you Gentlemen. A lot of the time I need "another set of eyes" to verify what I see, OR don't see. Figure it helps me and other newbies learn something.

Re: Does This 6380 Look Suspicious to Anyone Else?
Thanks for the good info. Seller definitely "misdescribed" it as "New". I'm going to pass. I disagree Herb. The knife definitely looks unused. That's not a bad price for a delrin handled 6380 in mint condition. The bone handle version sells for about $150. I agree with "gsm...

Is this knife legit?
6897_4298_11.png Best photo I can get. What do you guys think? Its marked 6383 on the reverse side of the master blade. I've not been able to find tang mark that matches the one in the photo AND per the research section of this site, the master and secondary blades should be clip style blades. Best...

Re: Case Double bladed Greenbone Hunter 6265 SAB.....
Here's the only photo of the knife. I was in a hurry during the bidding process and did limited amount of research. I won the bid. Contacted seller on the 3rd day after close of the auction because he/she hadn't completed processing the payment thru PayPal. Answered back the next day stating there h...

Re: Case stockman punch knife
My .02¢ I've also seen stockman patterns with carbon blades but had the "for flesh only" blade in stainless Interesting. If you have one like that I’d be interested in seeing it. I don’t recall seeing a knife having mixed carbon and stainless blades. That 64047PU in the OP has carbon (CV)...

Re: Blue Grass Cutlery Barlow Belknap 5721
I can't believe you haven't had a response on this. I have limited knowledge but I'm pretty certain this is not a Blue Grass Cutlery knife. This a knife that was sold by Belknap Hardware store in Louisville, Ky. You may be aware of Belknap since you are in Louisville. The "BLUE GRASS" on t...

Re: CASE TESTED PEARL WHITTLER
There were several stamps used by Case during the Tested era, generally believed to be from around 1920 (some say 1919) to 1940 (some say 1945). Most reference books show at least several of those. Also, tooling (stamps) wear out over time, and are replaced. As the tooling wears the marks left by t...

Re: CASE TESTED PEARL WHITTLER
Seems to me the tang stamps are all different. Confusing to me as none of them match the tang stamp chart 100%. Would Case have had tang stamps with that much variation, especially on the same knife. If these are all authentic then that makes at least 4 tang stamps used by Case during this era.

Mail Fraud???
Just curious cause I don't know.........If a seller on a website sells a counterfeit knife, especially if that person is notified of the discrepancies prior to the sell, then mails it, does that not constitute mail fraud? I guess the downfall here is there's probably no way the buyer knows that. See...

Are there any Case knife repairmen in the Lexington, KY area? Need to re-peen the center pin and install a new scale pin, (stag scales). Also, what effect will this repair have on the value of a "XX" era 5375 knife? If no one in my local area, who on this site does quality repair on Case k...

They were not made in 2000,made after 2009-10 and any and all with that mr and numbers and pouch were made in china or some where off shore Inside the box top is stamped with the box size (in millimeters), model # of knife and then 2000 (which I assumed is the date of manufacture). The MR104 and the MR109 are marked China. The MR105 has nothing to indicate where it was manufactured.

Trying to find value of the UC457 set. New still in box, never used. The knives are still in cardboard(?) wrappers and include the leather sheath. Any ideas where one can find a value?

I have a few Marbles knives: MR104, MR105 and MR109 that are new in box AND pouch. Manufactured in 2000. All are brown bone or stag(?). Where can one find the value of these knives? Looking at one of these and can't find much info or photos in order to make an offer. What little I did find didn't have the "XX" on a "diamond" shield this one has. The tang stamp puts it in the years 2000-2009 and it has one "x" above Case (pics aren't clear enough to...

Thanks for the welcome Gentlemen> LeftyKnifeGuy, ::welcome:: to AAPK! I too don't see any issue with the knife other than the shield. I did notice something in the sellers description, one statement in the middle says, "Please look at the pictures good before bidding." He knew what he had ...
