Looked at a Ray Cover sub-hilt at the Gateway show recently. Set in back on the table as Ray wasn't there. Came back about three hors later and the old "snooze ya looze" rule applied.

Boxes (both cardboard and display) are/ can be a huge PITA when setting up at shows. If you display knife w/o box you must have a system to "re- unite" both. If you display w/box....you need lots of extra room. Have lots of NOS knives dating back to the 80's that have never been out of the...

The 1988 "Sawby Lock" was Blade Show knife of the year IIRC. Also Buck Collectors featured knife....but would be marked on the blade as such(I believe) they were also released to dealers and sold for a short while before being recalled do to issues w/ the "Sawby Lock" mechanism. ...

IIRC the stag knives weren't as "common" as the other handle material knives. Also in my experience the "brass" knives aren't near as popular

Are they crazy? "It's complicated" a) only one pattern a year. b)more than one handle material. c) not the same number of knives made in each material. Not positive but I believe the "bone stag" was the least produced handle material of the Lanny's Clip model.....think they used ...

Going by the number on the blade(054) that appears to be set 54 of 2500.Providing of course Case manafactured 2500 sets& the other knives in your set are numbered likewise. Is the display sealed?
