I couldn't find another adverting knife from Fred Mcdart MGF. It's good to see another knife...Both knives are marked (Patented)...Does that mean only the Voos knife Co. could make that pattern?

I don't see a place for the spring!! The spring is internal, if you remove the screw holding the two halves together you will see it. It appears to be there from what I can see but it probably snapped inside. I have a few of these. I can see why it would a spring it would work more efficient Thanks...

I found three unique scissors two are unmarked... the one with the ebony handle...is marked ( Pat.May 22 1900) crest is marked Sterling
I'm not sure what it was designed for any ideas welcome!!

I have seen and indeed, own a similar item. I bought it to lay on the antique dresser in our guest bedroom. It, too, is simply marked PATENT in a parallelogram. It has unbroken pearl handles and does not contain any folding knife blades, it is just a pair of spring-loaded folding scissors in a Bali...

Many nations have "patent" in their language. Hard to say just where it's from. Italy? France? Spain?

I have a small three and half inch.. one bladed pearl handle.. knife or razor..Stamped Electric.. the handles have no backspring and made like a razor I don't know what kind of blade is in the knife and I don't know what pattern the knife is...the blade opens and has a stop... You would have to keep...

The knife handle looks to be ivory and it has the age but can't really say....
Any idea who would have made the knife or what country it's from?

Yeah; I suppose that the shields was the only identical point of the knives! I think the wild,wild, west scenario was a great description of who and how the the knives were made in the earlier years!! I guess what I should has asked is... Yeah Ken...I think that's a great idea about seeing more of the Peerless knives to compare the Bridge with.. But when I look online; I find one pocket knife on ebay...that knife its shield is stamped... (farmers Guide) The knife wasn't in the best condition it had one blade broken and needed a good ...

Bridge was a brand name owned by Shapleigh. Their knives were made on contract by Empire, Schrade, and Camillus. I have no idea whether Peerless was a manufacturer or a jobber who contracted their knives to be made but have seen some posts speculating some were made by others. I’d have to see more ...
