I found two knives over the weekend... I would label these knives as office knives 1) A knife 3 1/4 inches closed with french ivory handles and birdseye brads..Both blades are stamped.. It's good to see another knife...Both knives are marked (Patented)...Does that mean only the Voos knife Co. could make that pattern?

I don't see a place for the spring!! The spring is internal, if you remove the screw holding the two halves together you will see it. It appears to be there from what I can see but it probably snapped inside. I have a few of these. I can see why it would a spring it would work more efficient Thanks...

I found three unique scissors two are unmarked... the one with the ebony handle...is marked ( Pat.May 22 1900) crest is marked Sterling
I'm not sure what it was designed for any ideas welcome!!

I have seen and indeed, own a similar item. I bought it to lay on the antique dresser in our guest bedroom. It, too, is simply marked PATENT in a parallelogram. It has unbroken pearl handles and does not contain any folding knife blades, it is just a pair of spring-loaded folding scissors in a Bali...
