Thank you! Great info & thanks for the link. You can make a tool by notching the blade of a very large, cheap screwdriver, or buy a "pommel nut tool." I recently worked on an old Marble's Woodcraft that had a loose pommel. I bought a pommel nut tool form the big auction site and it wor...

PACKLEADER. If it is a New York Knife CO. knife it will be stamped on the pile side tang. This is off the top of my head, so results may vary.

Sorry I posted in the wrong place. Yes if it’s a Case Bradford it would say Bradford on the tang. The knife is a Case Tested, as it says. Thank you for your opinions. I appreciate both. I got it as is in a lot of Knives. I adjusted to regain Snap tightened the week knife back up. It's working well now.

Again I do appreciate the feedback

I'm pretty sure I can read Conewago on the tang. If so that would tie it to PA, but I can't get any hits on a cutlery business there and today the population is only 7K so it is a very small town. So far as the name maybe J Berringer or something similar to that. Maybe someone has a directory of PA...
