I usually prefer jigged bone but there’s just something about Cocobolo on this pattern!

Re: GREAT EASTERN PRIVATE LABEL, CLUB KNIVES & SFO's
I lucked out and got an Elderberry Jigged Bone 54 in the DLT drop. Should arrive Monday. Here's the glamour shot from DLT's drop page. I hope mine is as nice as this one ...

Titusville Cutlery
Picked up this American Redsmith series Old Man Norman recently. It's really nicely done, fit and finish/walk & talk/etc are all great. I had been wanting something with mammoth covers for some time and am thrilled to have this one.

This really is fabulous!Mumbleypeg wrote: ↑Fri Nov 13, 2020 7:48 pm Just got back from the mailbox. Excellent! Missed out on the first go-round but thanks to the kindness of another member, I was able to get a second chance.
Thanks Bryan, this one looks like another winner!

Re: 19 Little Rattler
I had one waiting for me today as well. Definitely small, but I think I'll like it. Fit and finish is quite good, it's nice and snappy, 4-ish pull. I love the color on the micarta scales. I'm going to carry it for a few days to see how I like it.

Re: Latest Release Show Some Pics.
I ended up with a Kudu. There were far nicer ones but they were disappearing like hotcakes so I jumped on it. I tried to get knives on 5 NW drops and this only my second success so I'm happy!

Re: Mail Call, Post Your New GECs.
Cudgee - I was not. I did land an AAPK today which I'm thrilled about, but it was so nice here this afternoon I went outside to enjoy it and missed the DLT stag drop. TPKs is tomorrow night but I have a date night planned with my wife so that eliminates the little chance I had. It's cool though, may...

Re: 19 Little Rattler
I just got an email from CK, i had a Red Coral Reserved. It should ship mid next week, $70!!
I hear this is a larger run also, so maybe the mad dash won't be so bad on these.

Re: 19 Little Rattler
Since the 74s mostly came in under $100, I would expect these to be even less by a bit - at least for the Tidoutes. $80-$90 ish?

Thanks! The fit & finish on these is just about perfect as well. Great snap, about a strong 5 or light 6 pull. GEC hit it out of the park with these in my opinion.

Well done Roger and Ken (and GEC). I've been champing at the bit for these for several months and they look like they'll exceed my expectations. I hope you're able to continue these SFOs in the years to come - there's something special about the link to the historical knives they emulate that I don'...

Re: GEC Enthusiasm
KJ - I know exactly how you feel. Although I was much later to the GEC circus (only about 2 years now) my enthusiasm has waned during the past few months. I do think it's a bit of depression from Covid, the political climate, etc. coupled with many of us not seeing our family and friends nearly as m...

Re: Red Trout Knives
Eric - you did a fabulous job on these! Every one I've seen has been awesome. I've been carrying the snakeskin every day since I got it. The basket weave is super cool, but almost seems too nice to carry. I'll get over it and put it in my pocket one of these mornings
