Re: 3 for $20

I picked these up at a gun show today. 897,197 and 807. The 197 has a fixed tip. The 807 is like new. The 897 has an Eagle etched on one side and maybe two pine cones on the other. No idea what it is. Great value for $20! The eagle and pine cone images were used on SFOs for Tharpe. They were/are an...

Re: 3 for $20

Wobblehead, Finds like that, 3 for $20, are what makes used knives worth searching for! ::tu:: Treefarmer I’ve bought 2 old timers, 3 Uncle Henry and a German Boker in the last 2 months. $10 is the most I’ve paid. I got the boker for $5. The seller today had a few more I wanted but it was cash only...

Thanks. That one was nice. My handles are different but they appear to be the same as far as stamps etc.

I just bought this today for $5. I don’t know anything about Barlow so I don’t know if I got a good deal or not.

Boker 240 info needed

I just bought a boker tree brand 240 in a pawn shop. I have no idea what it is worth and I don’t know anything about Boker knives. The tang is marked Boker Solingen Germany with the tree logo and the blade is etched Tree Brand with 240 near the tang. I’m looking for an approximate date and value. I’...

When I’m predator hunting I carried a case slimline trapper but I recently lost it and now I’m carrying an old timer 194 linerlock trapper.

Every time I kill a deer or turkey I carve my initials in a beech tree. So does my brother. One tree in particular is carved multiple times with kills from my 5 biggest bucks but I can’t find the picture of it.

Re: Show off your fixed blades!

That 7mm-08 is a fine caliber from all I've read about it. Every caliber has its advocates. My favorite is .270. They all have their place for sure. I used a Ruger 77 in .270 for forty years and still shoot it occasionally, but other favorites are my .243 Winchester in a first-gen Ruger 77, and my ...

Mine is 7mm-08. My dad has one in 260 and a friend has the 25-06. I’m going to eventually get a 270,30-06 and 280. A few were also made in 243.

I’ve had this 3OT got years. The spring was broken right after I got it. I’ve also had this piece of deer antler for years. 5 minutes with a drill and I have a new skinner.
