Question, how can you tell for sure that a trapper has a true muskrat blade not just a skinny blade? Is there a sure way or ways? Also It’s my understanding that only USA era trappers, 1965-1969, were made with muskrat blades?

This is a mint condition knife from the 1970’s. It has no “snap” on one of the blades when opening and closing

I understand what your saying about removing metal but you’d have to remove a bunch (in relation to the thickness of the blade) to reduce the pull size.
