Re: Just looking for info.

Case Manufacturing was formed by Andrew Case, one of the original brothers that was involved with Case Bros. Andrew broke away from Case Bros around 1908 and formed Case Manufacturing Co. They were only in business around 3 years or or so. The knives were actually made by Kane Cutlery of Kane, Pa. ...

Re: Just looking for info.

It is a tuxedo pattern but as others have said most of them you see have rounded bolsters. The mark is fairly rare as I think it was only used a couple of years. ( Goins’ says 1911). Hard to say what it’s value is because you’re unlikely to find comparable sales. Tom McCandless (olderdogs) or Steve...

Re: Just looking for info.

I believe the style of your knife will be called a "tuxedo. Not sure of the stamp. Treefarmer Thank you for the help farmer I did think that was a possibility, then I thought it may be something different due to the tuxedo I saw had rounded bolsters, and this has squared. But the one I saw was...

But I cant find this, which does happen time to time. Anyway, the Handles are dark, looks like a Roger's bone. No shield. No # sta...

Re: Wanted: case xx usa 4318hp handles

Just curious... seeking opinions... would you go with the original type, white comp Handles? Or something custom? I would like the model # to match the knife, but white comp, with custom details and/or designs could work. What would you all do?

Hey, I bought this beauty about a year ago. Had minor discoloration on both sides of its white comp Handles. Re: what is the rarest case knife you have??

Some of these would be better placed in their own thread rather than this one about “rare” Case knives. Yes I know it says rarest you have, so it’s subjective. But IMHO this isn’t the thread for “what’s your opinion about this knife?” posts. If you don’t know, please post it in its own thread. Yes ...

Re: what is the rarest case knife you have??

The shield has been replaced I believe. Short fat 's' instead of the taller thinner 's'. Don't really know about all blades being stamped. Thats what im curious about, and the blade type.
