Re: German Bulldog knives
That is some awesome stag for sure! Here is a pearl gunstock I couldn't resist, from Millstom307 on AAPK. I think it may be a first generation.

Re: 2022 AAPK knife
Thank you, Bryan, for another beautiful knife. The muskrat is a favorite pattern of mine, and the bone color is outstanding this year. I'm a bit late posting, have had the knife for a week now, but just had to express my appreciation.

Re: Mail Call !-Post your new pick-ups here............
I finally bought a Chinese Rough Ryder knife. It has D2 steel and green oak handles, a Kayak model. It works smoothly and I am impressed.

Re: RRR knives
I finally bought a Rough Ryder Reserve knife because of the D2 steel used. Getting to the knife was work. First, open a box and remove a tube. Open the tube and remove a cloth wrapped bundle. Open the cloth and remove a paper wrapped object which was the knive, a green oak Kayak. The knife was defin...

A new Case trapper with 1095 blades and burlap micarta handles. I like knowing what steel is being used, maybe Case is taking a hint from GEC.

A little Spyderco Dragonfly with a damascus blade. Some micarta handles like on Jtx's McBee would look good on this one also.

Thanks, New_Windsor. They seem to be under "European Knives" now, probably not enough attention by themselves anymore.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
Some great blades being carried! Most of the time I have this muskrat with me. It sharpens up nice, gets the job done and is polishing up in my pocket.

Re: Ranking the Quality of Stag
In my opinion, the Sambar stag is the most attractive, and Bulldog had some of the best. I like gnarly stag but have seen some so knobby it was uncomfortable to hold. My daily carry is smoother but has good color shading and pleases my hand (picture included). It is elk stag and polishing up nicely ...

Re: Show off AAPK 2021 Club Knife
I enjoyed seeing all the great photos of the new knife. Also you have pointed out something I hadn't thought of. The AAPK shield, tang stamp and etching had blinded me to the fact that is a short run GEC knife! Anyway, here's my pic. Sorry about the spiders, I was taking halloween pictures and haven...

Re: AAPK 2021 Club Knife
Sorry to hear about a flipper, hopefully he had good intentions. Good pics of the new knife have been posted. I'm finally posting a pic of my knife. Since I was already taking halloween photos, there may be a spider or two with the barlow.

Re: Patterns I don't care much for.
What an interesting thread. This will feel good to get off my chest. I don't like doctor's knives, anything under 3" long, most liner locks, gut hook blades , surgical stainless or 420 hc blades, or anything with celluloid handles. I'm ambivalent about the seahorse whittler. Some seahorses are ...

Re: Is this Bulldog knife forum dead?
Thanks for looking at my post, geocash. I bought those knives new and then added a note with the manufacturer's name to back up my poor memory. They are also listed in a spreadsheet where I enter each knife I purchase, so I'm reasonably confident I am right.

Re: Knife Photography
That is an interesting chopper, GSP. Looks handy, well used and taken care of. Are javelinas short tempered critters? Well, I got a new (old) knife today and had to try out different backgrounds - a bobcat skull, an old book and a brass frog. The knife is a Cripple Creek Coffin Jack from SharpNShiny...

I can see that our members have good taste in knives, and some fascinating side interests. That custom car coloring book looks like fun! Anyway, I finally broke down and got a Cripple Creek knife by Bob Cargill. It is a 1982 Knife World Coffin Jack from SharpNShinyKnives here on AAPK. The knife is b...

After a little hesitation, I picked up this Battle-Axe whittler. I couldn't resist the tang stamp and the cigar band. The cake decoration knives in the background were amusing.

Re: Got bulldogs?
After a long dry spell, I bought another Bulldog, a 1997 standing dog MOP baby sunfish. Now I have three baby sunfish, including two stag, and all are 1997s. One of the stag has a clip blade.
