Re: Collections, Sub-Collections and Family Group Photos
Sounds like a plan, LS89, minus the teeth though! lol! My dislike of serrations is that, IMO they make the knife look odd to my mind's-eye, nor do I much care for how they don't just cut things, they really chew them up, again IMO. Pictured is my one and only Spyderco, although I am finding myself a...

Great tutorial man, you know your knives that's for sure, and you answered perfectly all the questions I had, thanks.
I'm still not a fan though! lol!
Well, maybe the UTX-70 just to play with, and the Chapstick!

Cool knives, huh, Tony? You should be able to tighten up your swinguards via the screw that holds them on, I think. ::shrug:: I like how you displayed them, if one didn't know better they'd have trouble believing you only dropped 32 bones total for both knives! Great score for you, my man! 8) EDIT: ...

Totin' a KK Barehead Jack for Whittler Wednesday. ::facepalm:: I'm thinking that chunk is one of those demon-face lanyard beads, John, with little horns and nostrils on top of it's snarling lip, but with my old eyes....! ::shrug:: That's a b...

Re: Help Identifying This Type of Knife
Thanks, Georgiy, I get it. I was given similar information from Mykhail, he told me that even after leaving prison some of the guys continue making knives from their homes, and it is all made possible due to what they learned while in prison, and that makes perfect sense. Let's just leave it at, sho...

Nice Skinner Charlie! I took an interest in Muela after getting the folder pictured at an auction sometime last year. Apologies ... not a fixed blade. Action, F&F is excellent. Muela durability is great also from what research I have done. I looked for one like you have, but could not find it. ...

Thanks Bob, the knife actually is very nice and put together like a tank, it's just not the original I thought I was buying. I'm still quite pleased with it though! It reminds me of a knife that a sailor wold carry.

What you say doesn't really surprise me, Garry, you have always been more concerned about things like origins, makers, ages, etc., so I think you might have our roles reversed with you being the better man.

Much thanks, K-O-F, that's odd, to me the 2 knives appear to be very similar in size with mine measuring 8 1/4" with the blade deployed.Knives-of-france wrote: ↑Tue Apr 23, 2024 7:29 pmAnd a large one! Nice!

Re: Help Identifying This Type of Knife
Your suggestion to go private was a good one, Georgiy, I try hard to not hijack a thread, but sometimes fail miserably, but it's a moot point now if the knife isn't available. Thanks for the videos, and although you won't get any strikes against you for posting them there is a specific forum for pos...

Re: Comfort Knives!
Thanks a bunch, Tim, the c/c handles do make for a great hold on the knife, it's just a shame t's not an original, but then again, if it was original it likely wouldn't be in as good condition as it is.

A wonderful grouping of beautiful Spydies, Garry, I'm wondering if the Police model is serrated?
I recently viewed a non-serrated model and really liked it as opposed to their serrated model.

Spyderco knives were heavily used before my retirement. The shiny model on the left is my oldest; about 30 years of age. P1050210.JPG The Spyderco Police. An absolute classic. Nice catch, LS89, I also recognized that unmistakeable shape of their Police model, great minds and all that! ::handshake::...

Thanks Charlie! I will see if I can find it somewhere. The black handle got me ... good looking Bowie. + I have been a fan of Muela knives since the late '80s. In 2001 I was moving and a foot locker full of hunting and fishing gear got lost in the move. Among other things it contained three large M...
