Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?

This early Schrade made Buck 301 is destined to become my favorite knife. There is absolutely nothing about it I don’t like. BEE6BEBD-4707-4556-9340-ACCA052749D6.jpeg Excellent choice! Thank you. Re: WHAT DID YOU USE YOUR KNIFE FOR TODAY!!!!!!????

Let’s see, today my 301 cut the label off my new Tilly hat, sliced an apple, opened 6 bags of mulch, a bag of lawn food, fresh bag of dog food and I think that’s it. Pretty slow day but it will be back on the job site tomorrow so it will get plenty of exercise.

Re: Whats your newest addition to your Buck family and why?

I just pulled this from the magic box down by the street. This one is all I had hoped and more. It’s a second version Schrade 301 with the Buck stamp on the secondaries. It is tarnished and so full of factory oil turned sludge that the walk and talk is almost non existent. It will spend a couple day...

Looks like it's served you well! And you're making me feel better about my row of Weber's. ::facepalm:: Bill It’s new to me. I bought it to give it a place to rest where it would be appreciated. Re: Well that was a lie!

First of all, EWW GROSS! Nothing turns my stomach on a knife more than huge buildups of someone else's pocket lint. I hate it when sellers do that. That is an INSANE amount of pocket lint!!! I have knives that go without cleaning more than they should, and they never even come close to having that ...

Re: Well that was a lie!

Many sellers on ebay are not accurate in their assessment of condition. Some do not know how to assess use & sharpening and others are actually trying to mislead the buyer. But as Wayne says, it is an early Buck (Schrade ?) and in decent condition, so if price was rather low it is worth keeping...

Re: Well that was a lie!

Didn't seller have photos? You can always return it unless seller states no returns in which case you should know better than to buy from sellers who don't take returns. Yes he had photos, of a new with some handling marks Schrade 66’ 4 inch stockman. What he failed to mention was that wasn’t the k...

Re: It's In The Mail

Unless something real special ( hint hint ... new in box first version Schrade made “301” hint hint) my last 4 knives of the year are inbound to my location as I type this. 1. New in box 72-80 Camillus made Buck 303 2. New in box 72-80 Camillus made Buck 307 3. New in box 67-71 Schrade made Buck 301...

Re: Whats your newest addition to your Buck family and why?

Well I’m hoping I’ve come to my senses. I’ve moved the 505 and 501 micarta out and brought in a Camillus 303 & 307 and also have 2 Schrade 301 inbound. A first gen and a second with the buck secondary blade stamp to go with my non stamp on. These complete all versions of the Schrade contact stoc...

Lots of real nice knives being added to collections lately. I really enjoy seeing the treasures everyone finds. Myself I’ve added a few over the past week or so with a couple more to come next week then a hiatus is in order I believe. I’ve started to think about branching my collection out to other ...

Re: It's In The Mail

Just picked this 501 up for just a bit over retail for a new production and I couldn’t be happier. It’s the first non stockman Buck I have ever purchased. I caught the bug after getting a SFO Buck 501 ( which cost more then this) for Father’s Day 407AD631-8FA0-4913-B60D-967A6F4309C2.jpeg Very sweet...
