Re: Snowy day in Boston
l.o.l. Oh yea I can relate . I live in Kingston and just finished doing mine also. My girlfriend lives in Quincy. The last good storm we had she called me and asked if I could come up and do her driveway. Of course my answer was ..no problem ,what time are you coming to pick me up.(I don't drive). S...

Re: Old buddies w/dull knives
I had a visit from an old buddy this AM, just in time for poke salad & eggs. Funny thing, every time I see him, he starts messing with a knife that won't cut butter. When he could shave with it again he had to go. Bet y'all have the same friends!! I've got some pics when I figure out how to sen...

Re: Did ya ever lose a knife as a kid?
Lost too many to count as a kid and still do it as an adult.
Very seldom do they turn up. Last one I lost was a brand new boker magnum automatic.
Was fishing in about 180 feet of water off Cape Cod. Darn things don't float.

Re: Hear of a Good One Lately
A biker was out riding his Harley down by the beach when he spots a beautiful woman riding by in a Mercedes convertible. She pulls into a parking spot ,so he pulls up next to her on his bike.He figures she's way out of his league ,but still worth a shot. As he's climbing off his bike she glances ove...

Re: Red bone knives
Jigged bone is my favorite scale material and like working with it. This is a leverletto that I rescaled with red corncob jigging . I always leave off the rear bolsters when I do them. Think it gives it a longer ,sleeker look. Ended up selling it at some point to keep the bill collectors at bay. htt...

Re: Advice...
I tend to like automatics over manual ,so if it was me I'd get them all a leverletto. Great knives and can be had for 60-70 buck dollars each.
They will be very pleased with them and they are great users.
