WTB: GEC H23216

Looking for a fixed blade canoe hunter, preferably in Cougar clawed bone but will consider other handle materials.

Possibly consider similar models too, looking for a work knife to hunt with.

Re: Elk Antler Dog Chew Experiment

You could give it a very delicate sanding with a light gauge steel wool to replicate the rubbing effect of a deer to bring out some white. Otherwise beautiful job sir.

Beautiful knives, no doubt out of my price range but they’ll make some folks happy for sure.

Re: Antler for handle material

Applying potassium permanganate will artificially darken antler, in fact most commercially available antler will have been artificially dyed. It still looks quite natural when done well.

Re: Antler for handle material

I'm currently working on a trade with a knife maker, a stags worth if antler for a knife. I get the additional kick from it knowing that a few folks will get enjoyment out of the stag long after me as knives.

Gec 38 english whittler or 62 poxket carver

I'd like to get one of the two above.

Doesn't need to be unused in the box and not the end of the world if it has a scratch or two as long as everything is sound and functional. It's to be used as an actual whittling tool not a show knife.

Preference is for natural handle materials.

Thank you

Carried my DonJon today. Not a perfect F&F but to me that’s not always that important. A functional knife is the biggest winner. And this holds a wicked sharp edge.

Re: Stockman Knives

Thank you Tim. I’d never taken notice of the spring configuration. Seeing them advertised sometimes they were all but indistinguishable to me. I have seen a few with a lamb or sheepsfoot as the main blade sold as a whittler, whether that’s a true one or not I have no idea. I’m going to look for a wh...

Another Old Man Norman, this was part of the Cultured Artistry Collection series in 2022. Green mammoth tooth, and a "tree of life" shield. A lot of folks commented that the shield too closely resembled the Boker logo, so no others were made after this 1 release. Beautiful knife, I do agr...

Looks like a nicer version of the burnt sienna cody scout I got this year.

It only goes on as long as people are silly enough to pay ridiculous prices for second hand knives.
