Re: M.S.A. jack knife
Some people have more money than brains. A rumor started back in the 1980's that marbles made some pocket knives in addition to the Case bros Pearl sunfish. Its possible that the counterfeiters made peoples rumors come true. As far as Toenail collections. Scott King had a big one. https://iknifecoll...

Case XX 6235: legit handles and shield or not
I'm not a case expert but the handles and shield inlay look a little unusual. Maybe its the rogers bone. The jigging looks a little different too. But rogers bone sometimes has nuances. see the pics of scout knives i posted. https://www.ebay.com/itm/325025648342?mkevt=1&mkpid=0&emsid=e11051....

Nothing is real on this knife. the shield isnt real. The blades are not real. This knifes was made to deceive for the most part.

(1900'S CASE BRO'S BONE KNIFE) (1940 TO 1964 CASE CONGRESS KNIFE)PARTS OR CARRY
(1900'S CASE BRO'S BONE KNIFE) (1940 TO 1964 CASE CONGRESS KNIFE) One looks ok, maybe , the other looks like it has a fake case bros pen blade inserted and poorly pinned. I guess they make knives differently in Kodiak,Tenn ? Jazzygambling would go on my Ebay naughty list. s-l1600.jpg https://www.eba...

Re: what is the rarest case knife you have??
This one may be too rare for some folks (haha). I have convinced myself it is legitimate. It is a very fine example of knife making craftsmanship regardless. The "Bradford Penna" stamping (rather than "Bradford Pa.") is an indicator of being a contract knife for W.R. Case & ...

Re: what is the rarest case knife you have??
Maybe not the rarest, but I have personally not seen another like it with this handle material. Full blades. In good shape for it's age and not a common CASE'S over BRADFORD,PA stamp. Circa 1914' to 1920' based on the stamp used. CASE'S BRADFORD, PA GS223 with Fluted and Coffin Bolster. I think I r...

Re: WR CASE AND SONS FACTORY COLLECTION
I knew Jim Parker well. I remember going to a knife show and auction in pigeon forge tenn. It was back in the late 1980's or early 1990's. I went to SMKW. I saw a bunch of mint Case knives there. I believe it was the Case Factory collection. Jim was a nice guy and I have nothing bad to say about him...

Re: American Switches
I don't collect switchblades per say. These are ones that I picked up over the years when buying knives. There is one bone handled Remington that has a beryllium spring. The spring is amazingly strong. Another says H1211 1/2 on the back. nothing really special. i always wanted one of the bigger Cas...

Here is one of 4 Press Buttons that I picked up this past week. This is the best of the 4 and I am very lucky to have found this one. The etch is just great and the knife is crisp all the way around. I must say that is the nicest auto ive ever seen. I wonder what the history of that knife is. It mu...

Re: Remington R8063 Beryllium Spring
They are designed to open fully. Tightening the blade generally has little effect, and you can easily damage the knife. Deform the liner on the end. Yes Ive tightened the knife to factory specs. I'll try deforming the liner as the specified. I have a question on how to fix fish tails when the blade...

Re: Is this a rare factory double strike error?!?!
A good faker, counterfeiter has to have enough good knives mixed in with the junk. if he has all junk even the most gullible collector will catch him. sporty sells about 500 to 1 I would say.. maybe 100 to 1. i stopped looking at his stuff awhile ago. he used to dump all Silverladdie's stuff back w...
