I have & or collect several old farrier or horseman,s knives most are Civil War era and Sheffield made as the Wostenholm shown.

They supposedly at times to bleed a horse or cow, supposedly helped cure them when sick they thought back then.. They placed the point on the nose & hit it with a board.. ::woot::

WELL I LISTED IT BUT HAD TO GO THE OLD TIME WAY TO LIST & PUT MY PICTURES IN.. HAVE YOU NOTICED THE OLD WAY HAS A DIFFERENT STOCK NUMBER TO WHAT WHEN IT IS MOVED TO THE NEW WAY ?? GUESS I AM A DUMMY OR SOMETHING WRONG ON THE SET UP FOR ME ?? :(

I have 3 Russell Whittlers now & have owned about 6 in 30 years..Owned a celluloid handled one about 15 years ago before I was into them very much..Some had doubted it so I got rid of it thinking they didn't make a celluliod one..BUT THEY DID!!! I HAVE FOUND A OLD CATALOG & UNDER THE PICTURE...

:lol: See my article on John Primble & Belknap Hardware in Knife World January 2005..They added the Inc. to the mark in 1968 until they went out of business.Blue Grass Cutlery bought their trademark & has them made in China..If yours had a star on the back of the tang it is a Boker contract....

:roll: Jim Parker bought a lot of old trade marks that had expired & had knives reproduced in Germany with them..Is what I have always heard..lr64knives my historical knives
