Not sure which was the Wikipedia clue. Tried searching those dates in Wikipedia and came up with nothing. Went through the pocketknife brand list in LGIV. The only one (that I saw) that gives specific dates of 1918 to 1925 was DeLuxe. Also says this was a mark used by John Salm of Torrance CA?? 275 ...

Dan, does that mean manufactured by Schrade for Simmons or Shapleigh Hardware before the Val-Test era, manufactured by Schrade for Val-Test, or manufactured and sold by Schrade using Frost Cutlery's trademark? If ea42 is correct about it dating to the early1940s, I guess the answer is self evident....
