Re: Guns & Gun Related Stuff

Guys, Here are my last two acquisitions. A Smith & Wesson snubby in 357 mag and a Colt Cobra snubby also in 357 mag. The S&W is clean as can be so I'm guessing minimal usage. The Cobra has never been fired. I sure have a hard time passing on these stainless snubbys. Ray I like the Smith!👍👍

Re: Peachseed Bone on Cattaraugus knives??

Just my nickel's worth. Here's an ULSTER cattle knife with really nice, peach seed jigging. J.O'. J.O., I’m not a Schrade expert, nor Ulster either, but I believe that your peach seed Ulster was probably made in the Schrade factory. As I understand it, after Schrade bought out Ulster, in the late 1...

Re: Farmer's Jacks

Wow! A farmer’s whittler? Who’d a thunk it? I have never seen a farmer’s jack in the wild. I’d like to though. Thanks Floyd, JP, and Wade I'm glad there's still people following and talking about old knives. I hope Bryan always keeps this great archive of knowledge and pictures intact. It's a shame...

Re: Shapleigh Hardward Co. Knife identification

Looks like a 4" or so Great Western stockman pattern.Made by Schrade Cutlery for Shapleigh likely after 1930.It's a Great Western because of the long spey blade.Very nice knife.
I would be interested if you what to part with it. ::tu::

Flea, only thing I can see is your OUT of touch.
Bought many knives from George, over many years. Most old tangs aren't perfect, and those knives aren't mint,so they have some wear etc.

Re: Remington Dynamite Knife

As I was researching Halafax Explosives, I thought I might uncover a macabre use of a similar sounding name in " Halafax" referring to the terrible disaster. But I never found anything alluding to any connection. The company existed only 6 years before being absorbed into a company with a...
