Re: Not Necessarily Counterfeit, But Certainly Strange

After the demise of the original Kinfolks and then Robeson, the only two entities to use the Kinfolks stamp were Parker and then Case after they re-registered the trademark. The OP knife is obviously NOT one of the examples made by Case. Parker had Kinfolks knives made by Olbertz and by Queen. The O...

Re: Anyone Know the Brand of this Pocket Knife

That is one of four patterns of slipjoints made by Case on contract for Rigid in 1982.

Trapper:

The other two were a small penknife like a Case '033 and a mini trapper like the Case '07.

Re: Question about tightening the guard/knob on fixed blade knife

Those are pretty common. You can improvise a tool to safely tighten and loosen/remove the nut without damage (bending and forking an old screwdriver to have 2 prongs is one way). But the tang itself also has a shoulder stop built-in, so sometimes when the handle material (especially leather discs) ...

Question about tightening the guard/knob on fixed blade knife

This is one example but I have had others - fixed blade knives with concealed tangs and what seems to be an odd fastener at the end. These usually have guards/knobs that are loose and can be moved back and forth by hand. I have tried and tried but can't figure out if there is a way to tighten the wh...

Schrade Cut Co Double Button Auto 3-3/4"

SCHRADE CUT CO WALDEN NY - double button auto knife in the hard to find 3-3/4" closed length. Both blades fir strongly. Both lock up properly when open. The large blade slide lock for the blade when closed does not work 100% - can pop open even with the blade closed and the slider locked. Each ...

Re: Winchester??

Regarding the OP knife;

Bone is too new.

Frame and blades appear to be old, but handles replaced and the stamps don't look right, blades are too rough, not fully finished.

Re: New York Knife Question

Cody I believe Cooper owns that trademark now, which seems so ridiculous to me as he's in Ohio and has zero relationship to NY Knife Co. I know Imperial kept the Hammer Brand trademark up but I don't know if they ever used the New York Knife Co name themselves. Eric ISC used the New York Knife Co t...

Not a Case, IMO. Superficially looks like an 01 pattern, but enough differences to lead me to believe not made by Case. More likely made by Queen City.

Re: Manufacturer

I would have to see pics with the blades open, but it appears to be a Queen made knife. Queen made the only four-blade congress pattern that was sold by Moore Maker. Odd because the handles look like yellow Delrin, not smooth bone. Queen made very few Delrin handled knives for Moore Maker and the on...

Re: Empty sheath seeks compatible mate

The "round toe" leather belt sheath that eveled described is the older style, circa late 50's til 1977. Case switched to the sheath shown in the original post - "square toe" basket weave in 1977-78 for all large folders, including the Shark Tooth, Hammerhead, and the 6265 folding...

Help identifying a modern Boker lockback

I just picked this up, seems like it has no model #, but the steel type I assume is the CPM-T-440V?

Wondering about the model number, age, and is there anything special about this knife - is the frame titanium?

It is about 4-1/2" long closed.
