Re: schrade heritage pocket knives 1984
C.B. here's some 'Heritage' background that may help (hopefully) Original Heritage Series with dated & coin edged shields, fluted bolsters, bone handles, and the 'Everlastingly Sharp' blade trade- mark first issued in 1983 and ran thru 1986. Some other Heritage marked knives were issued in later...

Re: Sargent knives (queen)
After acquiring a Sargent stockman '06-'08 that appeared similar to a Schrade 8OT I found Sargent's contact info online and called them to determine origin. It has Sargent over USA tang stamp and another tang has staff Sgt insignia with a J added. Person I spoke with indicated it was not a Schrade ...

Might want to visit the Bluegrass cutlery website which has the model #s listed in order of number of blades iirc. Also lists contact info so you can call or send photos to them for comment. I called one time to see if box available for a coughin' jack I bought and one of the big honchos (sorry, do...

Re: I am searching for imformation on a case knife
I have a two blade case knife made in the mid sixties with the name bull conner engraved in the handle in red with the number 278 on the smaller blade. I am wondering how many were made and if its worth anything. Thanks, Andy Lott 278 pattern introduced in late 70s so if yours made in mid60s it is ...

Re: foreign substance on my mora and my sodbuster
I've often heard it's best to go with your first gut instinct. Maybe it is lipstick. If so, cold cream should take it off. If it's groundhog blood try hydrogen peroxide followed by cold water rinse followed by rub down with eye of knute extract. Before resheathing it, remove lipstick holder from she...

Re: Patterns that aren't "IN THE BOOK"
Okay, here's one not in the book due to Steve's previously mentioned restrictions on time and volume. 104L only made a few years so who'd notice it's exclusion?? My original research indicated 2 versions were the DR6104L dark red pakkawood as shown below and a 7104LFG maple with finger grips...

I have a WWII Camillus USAAF Pilot's knife and it is exactly as yours, so I would say that it is USAAF Pilot's pattern. Murf, this is just a wild guess you understand. I'll assumilate you meant other than different handles, different length pulls, lined bolsters on yours and a bail on the OP's both...

K7K your story reminds me of a picture w/o caption in one of
the car magazines back in 70s or 80s . Pic was of a small fwd car parked in
snowy/icy conditions that someone had installed snow chains...on the rear.

Re: Malfunctioning backspring? Boker 1200
I've read several posts about Boker's great customer service.
If cleaning out the blade well & pivot w/Qtips or round toofpicks
followed by few drops of new oil doesn't solve the problem
I'd recommend a call or email to Boker about repair or replacement.
Hope this helps
