Thanks Camillus. That makes it easier to decide what would be right because you can sort of judge how a knife would look by comparing it to one similar at home.

Gentlemen, you got one fine website and truly a good bunch of regular contributors and I wonder if anyone has ever posted a link to it on their ebay auction. I just think there are bunches of guys that would live here if they only knew about it. With only a dozen or so knives I'm not about to sell a...

Re: "Improved Stag"

I'd sure love to have one of those equal end jacks with the spear blade. bunch of fine looking knives you got there. :) Did Boker ever make a...

Re: I used to carry a pocketknife to school
I hope I'm not steering this thread off topic but I've never been to a knife show but seldom miss a gun show and it is sad that there are not many if any youngsters there. While there are sometimes young boys with their dad or grandfather, it's as though the last two generations are missing. Most ev...

Re: I used to carry a pocketknife to school
You guys make me realize just how old i must be. My first grade class (there was no kindergarten) was in a wooden frame two classroom outbuilding annexed from the rest of the grade school and we had a huge wood stove for heat and windows for AC. The next year they tore it down and remodeled the grad...

Wild how bone can just make a knife. Those are really nice.
As to the bricks, my collection grows slow like one brick at a time.

Re: A kind of sad realization...
I don't have enough money to even be considered a casual collector but I love the older classic pocket knives. I usually go to the Louisville gunshow and take my sixteen year old son as he likes knives also. He won't hardly give an older knife a second glance but gets all starry eyed at all the new ...

Thanks Gentlemen'
I love quality, stag, hunting style, but most of all I like practical use knives. This one fit the bill.
Now I just need a half dozen levers I'd be happy...
