Re: Is this Marbles made in the USA

I see knives (and other stuff) sell on eBay for prices higher than the same identical item can be bought for elsewhere. Sometimes even from another seller on eBay. Back in the good ole days of ebay, late 90's, I'd regularly see an auction described wrong or poorly, or in the wrong category, and I'd...

Re: Is this Marbles made in the USA

It is an auction that just started and runs for another 13 days. Starting bid is $10. There are a couple of others with the same looking box and case. Not ebay.

Thanks for the info.

Is this Marbles made in the USA

I can't look at the tang stamp on this one. Is it possible to tell by the logo if this is a USA Marble's or imported?

I was just thinking a couple of days ago how the odds are really good here to win a prize! Also, I was thinking about how I need to get a trapper knife.

Thanks again.

Information requested on this hunting knife

I would love to know more about this hunting knife my late Great-Uncle gave me. Age, model number or name, etc.. Blade is about 5" and overall length is about 9.5" Pretty sure it is bone. A knife hobbiest about fifteen years ago said it was worth about $20. That sound right? I'd never sell...

I love evapo-rust. I get a lot of old tools at auctions and use that stuff all of the time. Want to buy it by the 55 gallon drum. :)

Re: Ebay's Global Shipping Rip Off

When I first sold on ebay in '98 the commission was 5% up to $25, 2.5% of $25.01-$1000 and I think 1.25% over $1000. And they didn't charge fees on shipping charges either. Seller's paradise those days.

Is this like a +1 knife, +3 vs goblins? Will it function on other goblinoids too, like hobgoblins or bugbears?

Re: Advice on a pair of project knives

Well, I haven't tried to use Kroil for much besides penetrating and I only had the end of a can, so it is probably more versatile then I realized. I do know it is top notch stuff.

Re: Advice on a pair of project knives

WD-40 is much cheaper than Kroil and I think the 'water displacement' properties make it good for the suggested use as opposed to penetrating oil. It works great at removing rust from power tool tables like on a table or scroll saw. If the rust is really bad(on the power tools, not knives!), I like ...

Re: Cool old tool

Is it possibly a upholster's hammer/tool? I think you are on the right path, it looks like something you would use for that, or leather.? But i may be completely wrong. ::doh:: I have what I was told is a upholster's hammer that looks somewhat like it, but without the swappable tools. Those punches...

Re: COVID 2020 POS exgange

I was looking at some knives and realized that I never posted pictures from jerryd6818. Very sorry about that, I've been crazy busy since the storm on 8/10 and Dove season opened Tuesday and have been occupied by that too. I was really surprised by the knife in the second photo; I'm quite fond of Bu...
