Re: OTF Strength?

All this talk of slashing and stabbing living creatures is starting to give me a kind of p.t.s.d. If anybody here has ever had to stab somebody,it's not something you want to talk about/hear about/think about/or even remember to be perfectly honest.,I'm old now so if I think there's a need,I'll pack...

Re: Help: ID & Values?

Take them out of circulation?,swimming up niagara falls would be easier. As long as people keep buying them, the chineze will keep making them.People want something for nothing so they buy the thirty dollar knock off rather than put out three hundred or more for limited runs of xxx take your pick.With...

Re: OTF Strength?

Please don't let my opinion sway your decision.,I don't claim to be an expert.,although I am a tree climber by trade,in the past I worked as a machinist/mechanical consultant. It comes down to simple logic.,otf's use tiny hardware, tactical side openers use heavier hardware.,which will outlast the oth...

Re: Help: ID & Values?

Any akc that I've seen is at least as good as a rizzuto, and look what they're fetching these days.,I used to buy them for five dollars.(of course that's when the hills were still pointy on top,and gas was fifty cents a gallon) As long as some body isn't trying to misrepresent something,I'm not offen...

Re: OTF Strength?

They're okay for opening letters and such.,flicking for fun and generally looking cool but you gotta ask yourself a serious question...Would I stake my life on this thing or do I want something that is rock solid dependable in any given situation? My assessment is otf's just don't fit the bill. Of c...

Re: Interesting listing (counterfeit Case Tested)

Who in their right mind would take a $50 knife, disassemble it,shave it,stamp reassemble and polish it just to make a hundred bucks? I'm not rich but I could make a thousand dollars just going to work before I could accomplish a task like that.

Re: China made clones at AAPK?!?! WTF?

That's partly why I'm not buying.,obvious knock offs and no response from the ones that I do try to buy. If you're going to run a store at least respond. Frustrating.,Christmas will be here and gone. sorry, please pardon my rant.

Re: One and three quarters Frankenstein RIZZUTO

My friend gifted me this set of Rizzuto parts with the INTENT I might be bold enough to create a Frankenstein Rizz. (That’s a composite to the lay person). I doubt this will be as part friendly as a AR15 but we shall see. If you don’t see another pic,I may have failed. I don’t think I’ll peen to mu...

It is also the most recent addition to my general souvenir or tourist pocket knife collection. It came in a group ...

Re: FORSTER. ROSTFREI

No not this one. The Rizzuto would not work after I put it together. I had to mess with it in ways that didn’t make sense to me but got it to wok. This one was ok the first try. I have some more rizzuto stuff if you want to try your hand at another project.,enough to do a complete knife plus extras...

Did you happen to take notice while it was apart is the switch made of steel or aluminum/pot metal? The steel units tend to hold up better.

As to whether it's a fake or not I couldn't say.,but I do remember them being in the local hardware display case for sale back around 1977-78. Looked similar but If my memory serves me correctly was not actual goldstone. As for the bolsters???
