Can anyone give me info on this knife?

Post by Jtaylor88 »

I don't know much about Henckels but am thinking this is pre-1960. Inherited my grandpa's collection after he passed away and have been trying do some research about what I have. Its numbered 1751.

Beautiful knife ! As it has a pattern number on the back tang in might be a very early 'contract' knife, made for Henckels, not by Henckels. But it is a Henckels pattern so it also could be a Henckels made knife from shortly before they stopped making their own folding knives.

That's one of my favorite pocket knives from Henckels which was made from the 1930s through the 1950s.
It's a good sized whittler with a handle length of 4 inches and feels good in the hand. Solely made by Henckels.
