I have had a direct email from a member called "The Guy"

It seems strange he has contacted me this way rather than through the APPK store contact method.

Has anybody dealt with him in the past or is this a scammer maybe ??

Sounds like spam/scam to me. We had this happening around this time last year as well.

Keep in mind it's tax season -- people getting their refunds. I noticed already an increase in spam calls that I don't answer -- they are robo calls and leave voicemail for everything from "you owe money to the irs" to home warranty's. I suspect it's all part of that. Seems like every year mid-Feb to late April we get tons of this stuff.
