Just saw your post, they are beautiful.JohnR wrote: ↑Sat Nov 28, 2020 1:55 pm I'm going to put this one here and if Roger decides it's not right will remove it. It's a Barlow with Miller Brothers bolster stamp and Maher&Grosh tang stamps. Miller Brothers was one of the companies that made knives for M&G but not sure anyone has ever seen one like this.

Here is a fixed blade you don't see too often. Maher & Grosh KLONDIKE.
If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.

Re: Show off your Maher and Grosh knives
I just went to the Mayer & Grosh website and it said "No knives available". Did not show what knives were available but now sold out, which i think it did when i last visited the site.
Does anyone know if all the GEC made M&G knives are sold out ?
Are there any more knives coming 'in the pipeline' ?

They had some " Boys Bail & Chain Knives " left, they are obviously all gone, so yes, they are all sold out. I cannot answer your other question.kootenay joe wrote: ↑Sun Mar 07, 2021 11:44 pm I just went to the Mayer & Grosh website and it said "No knives available". Thanks cudgee. I too had thought there were some Boy's knives still available. Good to see them sold out. I hope there will be more.

Here are two I picked up. No etch, light stamps, and plenty of wear but fit nicely in my moose pile.

Nice pair of knives. The top one was called a Kansas Cane Cutter. The bottom surveyor came in several different blade configurations and handles.

Thought I would go ahead and post this old Maher and grosh. It’s one of those you got to be careful closing or you might need stitches. I call it a blood seeker!

Here's a very similar M & G that I guess you could call a barlow. Has really nice brass bolster and extremely strong springs. A very beefy knife that fits well in your hand. Also has a heavy spine long pull. Unfortunately, the only one I have.

I would consider that a heavy jack instead of Barlow.I'm guessing the master is a very thick blade.
