Show off your Maher and Grosh knives

William H. Maher and Emil Grosh started the Maher & Grosh Wholesale Cutlery Co. in 1877 with a goal to sell high quality US manufactured cutlery globally. The original business dissolved in 1988, but the brand has since been resurrected.

Keith, nice el diablo. The clip blade on those has an appealing design with curving and swedging.

Beautiful knife Keith. But not a Remington???
If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.

It’s hard to imagine those surviving as they are. It doesn’t get any better for collectors. Just doesn’t.

Hi kool, welcome to AAPK.
Maher & Grosh did not make knives. They had a mail order business and sold knives that were made for them by top USA knife manufacturers.
Yours is a "large swell center jack knife", also known as "large Coke bottle pattern", or "swell center Folding Hunter". Yours has a locking tab on back of spring.
Blade has a high saber grind and looks mostly full. Handles are ebony. This is a very nice knife and is in very good condition. Very collectible !
I do not know which USA knife manufacturer made it but there others here who likely do know, so i hope they post.
Great knife !
