Show off your Maher and Grosh knives

William H. Maher and Emil Grosh started the Maher & Grosh Wholesale Cutlery Co. in 1877 with a goal to sell high quality US manufactured cutlery globally. The original business dissolved in 1988, but the brand has since been resurrected.

The next 2 are lockback hunters.They are both 5 1/2" long.They have different blade releases both the frames and pin placement are the same.The tang stamps are different also and the cocobolo is older.The bone has a light etch "Razor $3 Steel".

Joe,I don`t know.That pattern was in their catalog for yaers.They Had a 34 and 35 pattern which was the same size.The 35 had double pulls and a crest shield and the 34 had single nail nick and no shield.I`m sure yours is one or the other.You see changes to the knives along the years and they didn`t seem to change the cuts in the catalogs.

The GEC website under "Production Schedule" shows a #78 Maher & Grosh Yankee Whittler as next in line but no drawings are shown.
Is this the correct thread to ask about the new M&G knives. So far all knives posted are vintage.

I left them at the office Keith,I'll have to check tommow. They are right at 4",give or take an 1/8.

Ebony Cotton sampler.Maher & Grosh advertised it in their catalogs has a skinning knife.

I always liked the uniqueness of that blade pattern. I know nothing about skinning but it looks like it could do the job. ::tu::
