Schrade made Maher & Grosh

William H. Maher and Emil Grosh started the Maher & Grosh Wholesale Cutlery Co. in 1877 with a goal to sell high quality US manufactured cutlery globally. The original business dissolved in 1988, but the brand has since been resurrected.

That is a remarkable and beautiful collection of Schrade Waldens. I don't personally consider the Maher and Grosh connection particularly primary as they were just a store, but that is just me. It is a good a place as any to start a Schrade collection. I am in awe of your parade!!! Other stores that bought big from Schrade were Primble, Hardware Hank, Shapleigh, etc., etc. Thanks for sharing. ::tu:: ::tu:: ::tu::

The cotton sampler, I really like that one. I see very few of them in any brand.

This schrade 856 that I just received has a maher & grosh etch, it is the only maher & grosh connected knife that I've had. Nice clean knife.

Roger, how about recreating one of these in your new maher & grosh lineup? :D

Late 50's Schrade Walden made293 trapper with a Maher and Grosh etch.It has the prettiest handles I've seen on a Schrade from that era.

The schrades with this type of bone usually have a deep red color. That one definitely stands out Roger, very pretty knife.
