Does anybody when marbles stopped using the copper rivets in their sheaths ?

From Arni Dunathan's, The Encyclopedia of Marble's Knives & Sporting Collectibles book, some pictures and info that I hope helps you. The stitched up the from tube sheaths were the earliest, then came the stitched up the back tube sheaths, with or without aluminum tip protectors added (the longer bottom sheath has one). When double hilts came along the tube sheaths were phased out.
Stagman (Will) has waaaaaaay more Marble's knowledge than I do, hopefully he will chime in.
