Northwoods Madison Barlow

The Northwoods Knife brand name originated in Gladstone, Michigan when a man named Dave Shirley adopted it as his knife company's name in 2004. Dave was well known for collaborating with popular knife companies to have knives made to his specifications for resale well before 2004 & beyond. KnivesShipFree bought Northwoods from Dave & has continued to team up with respected makers to produce knives marked with the Northwoods brand name.

Northwoods Madison Barlow

Post by gsmith7158 »

With the present state of the Nortwoods market, I figure if you can get one on the secondary market place for under $200 you had better get it. I was able to sneak up on this Madison Barlow in Ebony tonight for $180.

Thats a real pretty knife Greg...nice sleek line to it with that handle material....
Ol Dave Shirley would be very happy with the excitement & interest in Nothwoods
knives these days that seems to be getting to a lot of collectors....
he loved to talk knives,,, especially Marble's knives...
I picked up several facts on Marble's knives over the years from him

That's fantastic Greg, and you're correct, any Northwoods is hot right now. A real nice knife you have there. ::nod::

I am surprised you sold the jigged bone Madison and kept the Micarta one. I prefer the jigged bone and that one looks spectacular.
