Northwoods Lincoln Jack

The Northwoods Knife brand name originated in Gladstone, Michigan when a man named Dave Shirley adopted it as his knife company's name in 2004. Dave was well known for collaborating with popular knife companies to have knives made to his specifications for resale well before 2004 & beyond. KnivesShipFree bought Northwoods from Dave & has continued to team up with respected makers to produce knives marked with the Northwoods brand name.

Cletus, how are you able to score all these ivory/mammoth Northwoods ? Did you get them on the secondary market ? or in the 'new release frenzy' ?
I really like the 'beefy' clip blade on the Lincoln Jack.

KJ, this is actually the only NW I have in Mammoth and the Ivory Freemont was a release that happened well after the original. that Hawthorne is Giraffe bone believe it or not. I scored a Little Bay on the secondary market but the others, just lucky I guess. I'll admit I was fortunate enough to have set aside the time to be on the KSF site at zero hour each time. honestly the 2 most recent releases were the only tough ones. prior to that, you couldn't go so far as to take your time but it didn't seem to be the 'mad rush' it has become.
If you'd like to hire me for a SpecOps assignment upon the next release I'll get you one in Mammoth but if you tell anyone, I gotta kill ya. ☺

I live in the Land of Slow Internet so scoring a new KSF release is no longer possible. I need a SpecOps agent, will pay $100 bonus for mammoth score.
All this of course is secret. No one else is to know.

That mammoth ivory is very nice Cletus, excellent score. ::tu::
My one and only Northwoods knife is a giraffe bone Lincoln jack. I've posted this pic here somewhere before but not in the Northwoods thread, so here's mine. Patina developed on blade, I use and carry this one.

Very nice Greg! Beautiful Giraffe bone. I believe I like the Giraffe as well as I do the mammoth. ::nod::

I like this knife with giraffe every bit as much as the best of mammoth and more than most mammoth. Very appealing.

Here's a Lincoln Jack in mammoth that I just picked up fairly reasonably.

Mammoth handled Northwoods or GEC knives are hardly ever seen for sale in the 'places' i visit, mostly ebay and AAPK.
Is there an online site where knives with mammoth handles are more likely to be listed ?
Greg did this fine Lincoln Jack come from a friend ? or did you happen to just be in the right place at the right time ?

Roland I got that from a guy on the Northwoods website on Facebook for $290. Most of those people there buy and sell frequently and are there for the knives rather than the profit. It is a closed group so you have to apply for membership.

Well it is a very focused group and I believe the membership is about 3000 but they are there for Northwoods knives only.

Sunknife, your giraffe Lincoln is beautiful. ::tu:: ::tu::

Here is another giraffe Lincoln. The coloring on this one has a brown base.
