North woods Heritage jack (GEC 86)

The Northwoods Knife brand name originated in Gladstone, Michigan when a man named Dave Shirley adopted it as his knife company's name in 2004. Dave was well known for collaborating with popular knife companies to have knives made to his specifications for resale well before 2004 & beyond. KnivesShipFree bought Northwoods from Dave & has continued to team up with respected makers to produce knives marked with the Northwoods brand name.

I had that same trouble. I kept getting a message that the check out was busy, which caused me to lose the first Giraffe bone knife I had picked. Went back over and over and had 6 different knives through the check out and at the end, there was no knife.
Bohn needs to fix this. TKC started letting the buyer keep in his cart any knife that he picks and it’s there at check out. If they can do it, so can KSF. It is very frustrating for them to do things this way.
Derrick Bohn died a few months ago and Jay Rouch now runs the company. I agree there could be a better system for checkout, but probably would cost them some money to set up. Besides they will sellout in under 5 minutes as it is. They don't need to improve it in their minds I would guess.

Too weird to be right, too accurate to be wrong :)
That is what Jay Rouch called it. He had it special made for this run.
Awesome. Thank you for confirming. Is Jay doing all the planning for the Northwooss runs then?
yes. Jay is the man.

Jay was at the helm for Northwoods way before Derrick passed away. He is a great designer and knife maker in his own right.

The FMW is very unique. I’m wondering if they’ll do more knives with that cover or if it’ll be a one and done. Here’s my contribution to the HJ thread.

I picked up a Pretty nice Heritage in Mammoth today. I really like this pattern. It's a big hefty knife. ::nod::

Really like this one. I have an Oilfield jack from GEC but would like one like this one.

I wonder when they will make another batch of those Northwoods ::hmm::

Wish GEC would have made some 86 single blades like the Northwoods Heritage Jack, it's a real nice knife for it's size, I'm glad I was able to get one. I doubt GEC will do another run anytime soon and the aftermarket prices are crazy high, I just saw a red sawcut go for $890 on eBay, I can't believe it, I think there's something fishy with that sale. ::skeptic::
