Desert Golfer,
Sure like those old Winchester knives you have posted! I have not run across one in my ramblings. I see lots of new knives with the Winchester logo and sadly most are imported from China or some other place.
Love the old Winchester firearms and even have a Winchester meat grinder but no real Winchester knife.

Nice bunch of knives Harold
Re: Show off your Winchester Knives
Hi friends,
I just recieved my first USA made Winchester knife from 1967redrider (John) for Christmas.
I'll tell ya guys, it's sweet! And I took a number of pictures but they don't do it any justice at all. Especially not to the handles & jigging.
Anyways, from what I could find out with a few quick searches and please do correct me if I'm wrong or leave out anything. :
It's a 1988 Winchester 3904, three spring Whittler from their "Black-Box-Series". It is stamped Winchester (over) -Trade Mark- (over) Made in USA on all three blades. On the reverse side of the main blade it has a fourth stamp. It reads 3904 (over) '88. Which tells us it's from 1988. It has a blade etch on the main blade that reads "Winchester (over) Trade Mark, a great fit & finish, great snap, strong half stops, dark brown bone handles with a crest shield inlay and gorgeous jigging. What a great looking, top of the line made knife! I read that these were made by Queen Cutlery but I don't know that to be a fact.
This knife gives me another "first of this brand" addition to my "Made in the USA" knives. I'm so thrilled to own this gem and will proudly add it to my showcase knives! I really wish I could EDC this bad boy but it's historical value to me & my collection is just way too high for me to pocket this one. I'm totally stoked about it John! Thanks Buddy! Another piece of Historic American Cutlery to love & preserve!

Re: Show off your Winchester Knives
Have a Question here this First day of the Year . The Black Boxes with Red lettering and the ones with white . Is there a difference in who made them ,etc ,etc . Queen and Blue Grass Connection I know a little about and when looking these knives over and getting some oil out to give them a drink noticed a difference in the quality of the different pieces . Don’t collect Winchester but when they came up for sale here thru a member we struck a deal and very happy with them . Could be converted to a stag collector instead of bone with these pieces. All are well built and even thought about pursuing a few more .
Enjoy ,stay warm and safe .
