Re: Other Seki Made
Just listed this beautiful A.G. Russell fixed blade. Made in the mid 1990’s. From all the other Master Imai knives that I have, I think Mr Imai made these knives for A.G. Russell. This is a Bob Loveless design and Master Imai made several of his designs. This has some beautiful India stag handles and an ATS-34 stainless steel blade. Nickel silver pins and finger guard. Tapered tang construction with black spacers. It’s a very beautiful and well made knife.

Very nice Mark! I was just browsing your store saw this knife and was instantly impressed. Looks like a serious user for sure. The new Damascus fixed blade also caught my attention and after viewing the pictures was equally impressed. You've been listing some really nice knives lately!

Re: Other Seki Made
Thanks Mark. I appreciate that.
Here is another one going up tonight. Made by Master Hattori in the 1980’s. The knife is called the Dream Hunter with model number H700. He made some of these for Parker customs at that time as well. Not sure if the handles are laminated mahogany or Pakkawood, but they look great. The blade is made of AUS-8 stainless steel. This is a stainless that I really like, it takes and holds an edge well, one of the oldest Japanese made EDC’s I have is made of this and I love it. Measures a little over 8” with a 4” blade. You have to love the lines on this knife. The tapered tang is also a favorite feature of mine.

Re: Other Seki Made
Here is another one that I will be listing soon. It’s a Parker Custom Series knife. Not sure who the maker of this knife was, it could be Master Hattori or Master Tak Fukuta. It looks a feels like a knife made by Master Hattori. It has the finished appearance of Mr Hattori’s knives. His knives just have a smoothness to them that I love and this knife has that in spades. The blade shape is beautiful and the curve of the handles feels great in hand. Not sure if this is laminated mahogany or Pakkawood. The tapered tang is also a nice feature. Made in the 1980’s. If anyone knows what “Hand Made by DAM” refers to, please let me know because I can’t find anything on this.

Re: Other Seki Made
Added these two to my store recently. The first is a Sovereign Aristocrat lockback. Measures 4” closed OAL. The handles are black checkered nylon composite with an AUS-8 blade.
The second one is from the A.G. Russell catalog. It’s an Hikari Higonokami linerlock with black G-10 handles and D-2 blade. The blade is finely ground to a very sharp edge. I’ve owned one of these for many years and considered carrying it but had too many other EDC’s that weren’t getting carried or used. Both are very nice and user friendly.

Re: Other Seki Made
Two very nice knives Mark. I followed the large Aristocrat at eprague for the longest time, but ultimately decided on something else, but I get that same feeling of desiring one every time I see one again. I liked them so much I nearly bought the smaller version when you had it in your store. They really are right up my alley. And your friction folder is also very cool, in fact, I have a Herbertz knife with the same covers and overall appearance but it's not a F/F, it's a linerlock with a thumb-stud. Great knives bud!

Kanetsune Hunter with Cherry bark handle and sheath, Hitachi White steel San Mai. Very nice knife, sheath is a little impractical, but well made.

Kris. That is a really cool knife.Montanaman wrote: ↑Tue Aug 30, 2022 6:48 pm Kanetsune Hunter with Cherry bark handle and sheath, Hitachi White steel San Mai. Very nice knife, sheath is a little impractical, but well made.

The sheath does look a little funky.
Does it hold the knife secure? From the picture it looks like it would move around.

Re: Other Seki Made
Thanks David, it is cool. No, the sheath does not hold the knife well. My friend is a woodworker and is going to make some ultra thin wedges and glue them in for a more custom and secure fit.

Re: Other Seki Made
That is a beauty Kris. I agree the sheath seems impractical but A.G. Russell claimed it was what the Japanese made for this knife. Love that white steel.

Re: Other Seki Made
Probably posted this one earlier in this thread but it deserves another posting. Paragon design by Blackie Collins, folding hunter with black Micarta handles. What a beautiful knife. Scary sharp right out of the box, you could shave with this one. No brass on this knife with stainless liners and pins.
It sold within 20 minutes of my listing it in my store last week. Paragon’s don’t last very long in my store. Gorgeous!

Re: Other Seki Made
Forgot to post this CAM III a few weeks ago when I got it. CAM III stands for Charles Arthur Mahon the 3rd. All the CAM III knives were designed by Chuck and built back in the 1980’s I believe. Micarta handles with stainless steel blade. Looks like the work of Master Seizo Imai. Very stout knife with solid lock up. This would make a great hunting knife.

Re: Other Seki Made
Not being a hunter, I can't really say I like the knife Mark, but there's no denying it sure looks well-built!
Re: Other Seki Made
I sold two of these through my store and they are nice, buyer wanted to see if I could get more. But they are just happened to fall in my lap, I tell people if you are looking for certain models I probably don’t have them but if you are shopping for something Unique and not locked into a particular item I may have something for you.Sharpnshinyknives wrote: ↑Fri Dec 02, 2022 11:57 am Forgot to post this CAM III a few weeks ago when I got it. This 8" oal Junglee linerlock is stamped "AUS-8/Seki-Japan" so I'll assume that's where it was built! Wharncliffe blade and black synthetic covers! Nice pocket knife!

Re: Other Seki Made
Got this Browning knife from Gary Kennedy at Kennedy Knives. Made a lot like an Al Mar or a Moki. Nice stag handles. Solid lock up and easy release.
This one is going into the Moki collection. Pretty sure it was made by Moki.
