Shreddin' it! 70's ?? They skipped the last verse. Great imagery in that poem. J.O'.

Re: Some Of My Favorite Country & Bluegrass Songs
As long as guys like this keep coming along, country music will stay alive. Of course it might help if they’d just play some of them on the radio…………

Re: Some Of My Favorite Country & Bluegrass Songs
M-peg: They're great! Good to hear them.
Radio play is nearly impossible on the big syndicated stations, all handled by deals with production companies and agents, very expensive for a small band. We stupidly tried sending some CD's to big stations and usually didn't get any response at all. Then we researched a list of local and independent Bluegrass and Country stations around the country and sent them copies of our CD's. Dozens of them put us on and sent us copies of their playlist records. They are required to maintain playlists for BMI, ASCAP, and probably the FCC. Also, "Public" radio (NPR affiliates who feature regional programming welcomed us.) These stations can give bands like the one you posted pretty broad airplay and add to their promotional portfolio.
Hope those guys do well. J.O'.

My new favorite song, courtesy of my wife of 50 years. She found this - says it describes me (and her) Guy Clark CDs, cowboy boots and all.

Willie, Some high-power talent on the Rice tribute! "Song For A Life" is an old favorite of mine. We've sung it at a many a wedding. John Starling and The Seldom Scene knocked that one out of the park too. Thanks. J.O'.

Great scott!
An awesome group I hadn't a clue existed before, if it weren't for AG's latest update.

Some good country music here. The band is Blackberry Smoke (better known for their Southern Rock), here’s their tribute to the great George Jones.

Re: Some Of My Favorite Country & Bluegrass Songs
I've been watching Peaky Blinders for a few years now, but the final season is out on Netflix and my wife wanted to check it out. Stumbled on this amazing tune in the Season 2 finale-
Pocket, fixed, machete, axe, it's all good!
