If your religion requires that you hate someone, you need a new religion.
When the people fear their government, that is tyranny. When government fears the people, that is freedom.

Willie's guitar "Trigger" has been with him, since the early days. Even if Willie is not your "Cup of tea"...you need to take a look at his guitar. I'd imagine it will end up in a place like the Smithsonian...or get auctioned for a Gazillion dollars. Never-the-less...whiskey, Willie and Trigger seem to age relatively well...

Most artists don’t sound this good in the studio, let alone live!

If you like Hank, Lefty, Ernest and George, give a listen to James Hand. Born 50 years too late.......

Re: Some Of My Favorite Country & Bluegrass Songs
This talk about Vince Gill reminded me of one of my favorite songs, with a great message. Note in the video are Vince Gill singing background harmony, and accompanied by Leroy Parnell on lead guitar. Warning - this song gets in your head - at least in mine anyway. I find myself singing the chorus in my mind.

Your right Ken, now I'll be playing that over and over in my mind, but it's a beautiful song.Mumbleypeg wrote: ↑Wed Jun 03, 2020 4:01 pm This talk about Vince Gill reminded me of one of my favorite songs, with a great message. As good as any version of Leon Payne’s Lost Highway since Hank Williams. Steel guitarist is awesome!
