This might be a surprise to some of you. I've played guitar and bass since I was 13. 50 years. Four to five years ago, a friend of mine and I worked on a project of covering some Beatles songs for possible use on a future album of his. Some we tried to stay true to the original, some we rearranged and modernized. Here's some samples for you. We did 17 songs total and all were recorded in my basement by me, mixed by me, so if you hear any flaws, blame me!

Thanks Steve! Not yet. There is a technical difficulty. I used a very good recording software (Cakewalk SONAR) but it is not what most recording engineers use (Pro Tools). Even though in a lot of ways, SONAR is superior, Pro Tools is the standard. So, moving my tracks over to my friend's recording engineer is problematic.

Can it be overcome? Yes, but it is a lot of work and at this point, these tracks haven't become important enough to go through the effort. The project was to be about what inspired us to become musicians, The Beatles were one of the important bands. There were others that also influenced us... like the early Yardbirds, with Jeff Beck for instance.... and the list goes on. We were going to record a lot of songs and then pick the very best ones. About 2-3 yrs ago, my friend got involved in reforming his old band and it left no time for our project anymore. After that calmed down, the wind was already out of the sails on this project. And so it goes.

If your religion requires that you hate someone, you need a new religion.

When the people fear their government, that is tyranny. When government fears the people, that is freedom.

LOVE Janis. Gone way too soon (actually before I was born).

Not big on Fergie. Nice eye-candy. And Slash just doin' what he does! . ::nod::
