Anything from Kansas is totally worth listening too, any day, every day ::nod:: .

Not sure to what you’re referring. ::shrug:: Lightnin Hopkins was born and raised in Texas. He’s one of the greatest guitarists ever - a literal one-man band (he sounds like a whole band all by himself, bass, rhythm, and lead all at the same time with a little percussion thrown in.

(I like Kansas too though. My mother was from Kansas. Got a lot of kinfolk there).

THE Kansas Ken, like in "dust in the wind" Kansas  .

Never been down that way myself, but would like to someday in the future. After all, Dorothy was from Kansas  .

Could of guessed it. He was from the great, "clap clap", state of Texas. Many awesome musicians over the years, have been from the great, "clap clap", state of Texas.
Heck Ken, you yourself are from the great, "clap clap", state of Texas.

 Another great Texas artist is Mance Lipscomb. Different style though, more like Jimmy Rodgers. But man could he play a guitar! And he was another one-man band, playing bass, rhythm and lead at the same time, and percussion with the palm of his hand hitting the guitar while he picked. I’ll see if I can find something by him and post it.

2 of my fave blues guitarists - killing it on one of BB's best ... best part was how respectful Gary was - he could have so easily went into his unwordly guitar wizardry mode, but kept his chops in check to complement BB's song --->

Huey and Billy---two of the most underrated guitarists ever... It sickens me when the Rolling Stones magazine puts Kurt Cobain in the top 15 of greatest guitars ever and then these two don't even make the list at all... Shows how little they know...

Rode over to the memorial for Jimi Hendrix today, great weather for a ride so checked out what was going on. Not much. 4 people and a documentary film maker. Great sun for pics though.

Have Studio 99's "inspired" cover album of CCR on as I type.
So glad I picked it up! 5 bucks, and excellent music for all day, any day.

I love Metallica songs, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, AC / DC. Best Guitarist? Definitely Angus Young. It's hard to find better. Anyway, AC / DC in their golden line-up is the best rock band today.

More known as a C&W artist, but he can play blues and rock with the best of them. Junior Brown.

Great post 😁👍.. I've watched this video a few times before.. he's overlooked by many because he never got much air play other than a few songs in the 90s before country music went right into the tank..😠

I enjoy the female blues guitar playing of Samantha Fish. I love the way she builds this finale to a frenzy (Black Wind Howling)...
