Adapted to "Battle Of New Orleans" by Johnnie Horton. Great old fiddle tune. Good Post! ::tu:: J.O'.

The 8th of January 2021 is special to me because my niece who's career Air Force was promoted to Master Sergeant today (E-7). ::ds:: ::ds::

For anyone who isn't familiar with Air Force rank (such as me).

Pretty cool, Tim, thanks for posting. ::tu:: That's some sipping music there. In addition to Elvis's birthday I think it is David Bowie's too.

P.S. Congrats to your niece, Jerry. ::tu::

Jimmy Driftwood wrote the song in 1936.

Driftwood wrote some good ones, like The Tennessee Stud. I think I read he was a high school history teacher who used to dress up in costume and sing for the students. If it's true that's a great way to teach. ::tu:: J.O'.

Hearty congrats to you, and your niece Jerry. Ranking up that fast is quite the accomplishment, you have much to proud of uncle.
