Keen Kutter Help

Post by BWT »

I just picked up a EC Simmons with a 3/4 in the pattern? Anyone know what this 3/4 is for? The knife is 4 1/4 inch. My first EC Simmons bone handle. While I’m at it anyone know who made their knives? Thanks for your help and information. K2683 3/4 is the total pattern number.

Winchester made some Keen Kutter Knives. Other companies also made K.K. Knives at different times.

The "3/4" was used to indicate a clip blade. ::tu::

Very nice knife, Bill. ::tu::
The "ears" at the top of the keystone logo and the K in the pattern number stamp are two indications that it might have been made by Camillus.

Sellens says 1905 - 1941 depending on the shield. So that would determine who made yours.

Bill , did the Sellens Book help ? Been getting into KK more and would like to get a resource and looking for references. Thought would just add to your OP if you don’t mind.Just picked up this K2881 1/2 . Not sure what they called it, and does the 1/2 pertain to the main blade ?
If anyone has other good resources books links that would be cool .
Take care ,enjoy your day .

In my opinion, the Sellins book is the most extensive single reference book on KK knives. Just my 2¢.
