Keen Kutter Limited Edition

Keen Kutter was first used as a knife brand by Simmons Hardware Company in 1870. The trademark was used on the highest quality tools and cutlery Simmons offered.

Keen Kutter Limited Edition

Looking for info on this knife. It appears to be a 91' trapper. Mercury Head Dime limited edition "053" It has a 1926 Dime in the case. Was it made by Bear and Sons or Schrade or ??? Anyone know of about what it would be worth?

Nice looking set. ::tu:: No idea who made it. Value is about the same as any Keen Kutter Limited Edition knives, which you can find by doing an advanced search of eBay sold listings. JMO https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=Ke ... Complete=1

Thanks. I probably paid too much for It. The only limited edition set I saw was selling for $79 and it hasn't sold.

Hope you come out okay but if you like it that's what counts. EBay sold listings is best source for current values. That tells you what buyers are actually paying, not what sellers are asking.

I would say that's Bear and Sons, possibly for Smoky Mountain Knife Works. Definitely not Schrade USA.

Some of the research I found said that they had contracts with Schrade, Frost cutlery and Bear and Sons. I couldn't find any info on timeframe of those contracts.
