Re: Who's into S & M?
Well Chris, if that's a serious question (and I have my doubts), you just puncture the lid and rock the blade around the rim using that curved part in the back of the blade as a fulcrum. I tried this and the results were pretty ugly but it got the job done.

Re: Who's into S & M?
I prefer single blade knives and I love stag handles so when I found this S&M stag single blade trapper on eBay it was love at first sight.

Re: Who's into S & M?
That's a sweet reverse stock Schatt and Morgan. What's the red shield say?

Re: Who's into S & M?
thank you, the shield is Badger knife club logo ,it was our 2015 club knife. Its a nice knife, but I think it’s too new and shiny for me ,like a oldie that not afraid to use. Don’t know much about this reverse stock ,is it still popular? Think I’ll wipe it down and put it away for now

Re: Who's into S & M?
I don't blame you! That's a wonderful Schatt and Morgan!!!! I always preferred the Queen 49 Cattle King. The reverse pattern stockman always intrigued me. As usual, I always put off picking up a Cattle King, or one of the Schatt and Morgan's like you showed. When I found out Queen was closing their doors, ordered my Schatt and Morgan. Hate to admit it, but I used it hard and carried it daily. That reverse pattern really let's you get a good, comfortable grip with cuts. Please pardon the poor attempts of photography. My phone has the worst camera I've ever had the displeasure to have used. Hope everyone has had a great weekend!Ripster wrote: ↑Sun Aug 16, 2020 10:44 pmthank you, the shield is Badger knife club logo ,it was our 2015 club knife. Its a nice knife, but I think it’s too new and shiny for me ,like a oldie that not afraid to use. I've never seen one of those, the Reverse Gun Stock pattern. It shows up in the 2015 Queen Catalog. The catalog picture shows the double pull on the clip blade very clearly. Congratulations on having one that we apparently don't see very often!

Re: Who's into S & M?
Phil, quite often I carry an old #49, it's a tough old knife. I've got several #49's laid back as well as #52's, just don't have the nerve to break out a new one until this old one wears out or is lost. The two in my avatar are '58-'60 stamps, the EDC is the one on the bottom. Great user knives in my book!

Re: Who's into S & M?
Phil0175, Your photos are clear and well lit. Better than mine and more than acceptable.
Re: Who's into S & M?
I agree. From what I can tell, the first time Queen listed the #49 was 1954. Of course, I could be wrong. The two knives in your avatar are awesome! Hope everyone is having a good start of the week!treefarmer wrote: ↑Mon Aug 17, 2020 3:42 am Phil, quite often I carry an old #49, it's a tough old knife. Re: Who's into S & M?
Well was wrong, have a couple of S&M /Queens left that had forgotten about and a Bear. But reason for this next set of pics is a question for you all here? This single blade swing guard was also a club knife back when was active with Badger knife club here in Wi. The ? Is the blade etch / logo. At the time was great, now wish it wasn’t there. Does this make it less or more anything to a person not in the club.Been thinking about posting them for sale with The Badger group, but ! It seems that as I am focusing more on Collecting, rather than accumulating, these club knifes,NKCA,BKC ,Etc,etc, just don’t appeal to me. Thanks folks, be safe.

Re: Who's into S & M?
Paid a premium for it but you just don't see gnarly stag like this too much anymore so I couldn't let it get away. No regrets here!

Re: Who's into S & M?
Beautiful. How I miss S&M.
Re: Who's into S & M?
Thanks JP.
Garry...I hear ya. And it truly pains me to think of all the S&Ms I've owned and sold over the years. Wish I had hung onto them now. Oh well, at least I'll always have the photos.
